In order to have the OLA-network work properly, this network is organized as a pyramid structure, yet valorising dialogue and exchange.

At the bottom of the pyramid can be found the European OLA-teams (each having a leader) and the French co-ordinators (one or two per country).

Above them is the General Assembly which is made up of the team-leaders who meet every year at each important European conference that OLA organises.

The Executive Board which is elected by the General Assembly represents the next level and consists of 7 members (Mrs Michèle Breuillard (France), Mrs Isabelle Calleja (Malta), Mrs Jaroslava Kypetova (Czech Republic), Mrs Ludmila Malikova (Slovakia), Mrs Deborah Peel (Northern Ireland and United Kingdom), Mr Stéphane Guérard (France) and Mr Istvan Temesi (Hungary)) who are elected for a two-year term.

In addition to these 7 members, the local team leader who accommodates a European OLA-conference is part of the Executive Board for a 12 month-mandate (currently Mrs Ana Rodica Staiculescu (Romania) is).

Thanks to a complete and detailed managerial document, everybody knows the roles of all OLA-institutions (French co-ordinator, local team-leader, the General Congress, the Executive Board and project co-ordinator and leader).

The main role of the project co-ordinator and leader is to remind everybody of the their obligations which are known in advance.
